Smoke-Free Sweet's!

I drove past Sweet Caroline's a couple weeks ago and could not believe my eyes. There was a sign outside which said, "Sweet Caroline's is now Smoke-Free." I was FLOORED!  What a wonderful thing to see in Virginia especially in Winchester. Anyone who has hung out with me knows how I feel about cigarette smoke. You may have received an email from me from the American Lung Association or The American Cancer Society regarding the now passed smoking legislation. I am excited that Virginia has taken a step in the right direction; however, I hope that restaurant and bar owners don't abuse the potential loopholes in the legislation.

On Friday, Liz said that a couple of her friends were going out to 80's night to see The Reflex. I have always liked the band but the smoke ruined it for me so now that it isn't an issue, I was all for it. I really miss going out, having a good time and dancing so I was really excited to shake my booty a little.

We started the night out at Villiage Square for a Relay for Life Benefit and had a nice martini followed by dinner at Brewbakers then we rocked out to The Reflex at Sweet's. It was a great night. Jessica and John came with some of the friends and it was nice to see them out. It was a great time and I didn't smell like smoke or have difficulty breathing afterwards. Success!
