Yes We Did!

What a wonderful night! Barack Obama is the 44th president of the UNITED States of America. I love this country and I am so happy that President Obama will have the opportunity to take this great country in the right direction.  It has been an emotional 10 months since the primary and I believe that we will come together as ONE country and progress to wonderful things.

President Obama came to visit 206 Stratford Dr because he loves Virginia!

We have been glued to the TV all night, enjoying great food and drink.  We celebrated every time Barack won a state and then he won Virginia. VIRGINIA! 44 years since Virginia has gone to a Democrat. What a sign that change has to happen in the great state where I have lived for 20 years. We are ready to open our minds and our hearts to change!

We were celebrating the victory in Virginia when they interrupted to tell us that Barack Obama is the 44th President of the United States! WE DID IT!  

I love this country. I know these next four years are not going to be easy but as the great Martin Luther King Jr. said, "The ultimate measure of a man is not where he stands in moments of comfort, but where he stands at times of challenge and controversy." I know we are going to face it. I trust that our new President will face these challenges with intelligence, strength and grace.
