Philly Weekend

Friday Matt and I travelled to Cherry Hill to hang with Nick and Paul for the weekend. We made great time and got to their place with enough time to chill before going out to Philly. Matt was costume guy this year and made it his mission to make our Mario Brother's experience as genuine as possible. He spent hours on Thursday sewing my costume while I was cleaning out the rest of my stuff from 105 Banbury. We went to McFadden's in Philly and had a great time. Unfortunately, we did not win the costume contest, the guys dressed up as The Carebears did.

After we left the bar, the boys really wanted to go the Geno's which is on the other side of Philly from where we were. Our cabby Ronnie was cool enough to wait for us. The boys ate themselves into a food coma and all three fell asleep on the way home.

It's like Vegas on the south side of Philly

The next day we woke up and Nick and Paul took us to this amazing burger joint called Cheeburger Cheeburger. We ate until we couldn't eat anymore then we went back to the apartment and slept until it was time to go to Coldplay.

Look at that thing!

For our anniversary, Matt got us Coldplay tickets and I've been looking forward to this show since August. Our seats were in a club box which was awesome because we had our own private bar and bathrooms.

I have seen Coldplay perform a couple live songs on TV but I had no idea what I was in for. What an AMAZING show.  Top 5 for sure. I just love the band. I love every single song they have ever written and they put on a fun and great show. Chris Martin has amazing stage presence it was so fun watching him run around and dance on stage. At one point in the show, the band left the stage and walked through the crowd then up into the stands and played 2 songs on a small stage within the audience, AWESOME!

Before the show

Towards the end of the show, they released a ton of confetti on the audience and it looked so cool with all the different color lights.

I took a couple short videos of the show.  In this one, you can see Chris Martin's energy and the energy of the crowd.

What a great weekend. Thanks again for the tickets babe.  Thanks to Nick and Paul for showing us such a good time this weekend. Hopefully we get to see you next weekend.
