A Man (da's) Best friend....

I decided to take Mr. Wendall with me on my 4 mile run today.  I have run many times with Wendall and he usually runs pretty well but I can remember a certain instance where he just laid down in the grass and refused to get up.  This led me to carrying my 50 pound dog approximately a mile home.  Today was a different story.  Wendall was enthusiastic about the challenge of a nice 4 mile run and ran the entire way wagging his tail.  He stopped for a short minute or so in front of Handley high school but I encouraged him to finish the run and he dug deep for a strong finish.  When we finished the run I expected him to lay down and give up but he even cooled down appropriately and walked the 1/8th of a mile home to let his heart rate come down safely.  He was a trooper and will make a great running partner when Matt can't run with me.

Tonight was Office night.  I made dinner with which, as usual, I had no idea what I was doing.  I made chicken with brie and orzo and it turned out okay considering I forgot one of the main ingredients at the store.  Mel brought a wonderful homemade banana creme pie that I will most likely be eating at 3am this morning in the dark.  Mel also brought a nice chardonnay which paired well with dinner in which I tasted a hint of vanilla (Mel said bananas...I don't know Mel....)

This weekend should be fun. Friday is tasting with Mel then who knows.  Saturday morning is The Arthritis Walk, thanks to all of you who donated.  Saturday during the day, I'm going to head to Front Royal to check out the Wine Fest with Nikki, Jason and some of Nikki's friends from college.  Should be good times!  The runs for this weekend are pretty easy.  4 on Sat and 4 on Sunday.

Hope everyone has had a great week!

I'm still trying to learn this HTML business. Guess I should have payed closer attention in 11th grade computer class. Anyway, if anyone has any suggestions for ways to make all the paragraphs evenly spaced that would be great because I'm about to pull my hair out.
