Before the game Matt and I explored the stadium and came across the visitor's bullpen which was really accessible to the fans. We watched Kershaw and Martin warming up. Matt tried to get Martin's attention for the ball but it was a no-go.
We took our seats in right field when the game began. To the left of us were a couple dodger fans and to the right we had Rockies fans. There was a lot of blue in the crowd.
The sunset the first night was incredible....
Cute Dodger Fans!
Unfortunately, we lost the first game and the Rockies fans did not let us forget it. I have to say, I thought that losing at Shea Stadium would bring the brunt of heckling. I would have never thought that Rockies fans would be so ruthless and such poor sports. They screamed in our faces, after winning mind you, and did not quit. I did get cranky when waiting for the train and people were booing us over and over again. When we got on the train, we had a really nice conversation with an older couple and this tool behind us started chanting "tu legit, tu legit to quit." I do love Troy Tulowitski and this chant was pretty funny. We got home late and I was slightly reluctant to do it all over again after working the next day but I'm so glad that I did.
We took the Light Rail again the next night to see our boys play. We got to our seats right as Ethier hit a 2 run shot. It was Awesome! We basically had an entire section to ourselves. It was nice to have our own space. We won 6-1. Surprisingly, we did not hear one word the ENTIRE game or afterwards.
Ethier is the MAN!!!!
Sunset of the second game
Matt and I had a great time watching our boys. The Rockies are 3 games behind us right now for first place. Go BLUE!!!!!!!!!!!!
