Stephanie M. Sauer, B.A, J.D.

Matt and I flew up to Boston this past Thursday to celebrate my sister's graduation from New England School of Law (NESL); pronounced like easel with an N. On the way to the hotel from the airport, we ran into my sister's BFF Katie at one of the T stations and she lead us to the hotel where Steph was waiting.  The hotel was incredible; we stayed at Westin Copley Place with the Heavenly Sleep System and complimentary Starbucks coffee. The view from the 17th floor was incredible. Thank you Hotwire!

Sunset, you can actually see the Citgo sign from Fenway in the distance.

Friday I woke up early and ran then Matt and I headed to the largest apple store in the U.S. to get my sister's graduation present.  Steph's commencement was located at the Wang Theater. What a beautiful place!  They closed down Stuart St. and the 400 graduates formed a processional lead by 3 bag pipers.  It was an impressive sight.  The commencement wasn't too painful, but there were many legal jokes that flew over my head at high speeds.  Now I know how my family felt at my graduation with all the PT jokes and references.

Friday evening we walked around Quincy Market. We did a little shopping then walked down by the water. That night we went out to a dueling piano bar that would have been much more fun with a little more Devil's Juice in me. We weren't really into it so we went out to Whiskey's which is one of Steph's favorite bars. We got to hang with the Donahue's and had a great time.

It was kind of windy

um....yeah.

Two pretty good looking rents...

awesome candid shot of Katie and Steph...could not have been more perfect.

Saturday we tried to do the infamous Duck Tour but it was sold out so we took the T (where we always seemed to be going Inbound regardless of the direction) and walked around Cambridge. After a nice little Mexican lunch, we headed back for nap time. Matt walked around while I was sleeping and found half priced tickets for Blue Man Group. Before we went to the show we helped my sister move out of her apartment and after we went back and showered, we headed off to Charles Playhouse. If you ever get the chance to see Blue Man Group, do it! It was an impressive show in a venue that was much smaller than I anticipated. Matt was even brought onto the stage and made part of the show. See his blog for a more detailed account. Sunday consisted of breakfast, riding in a large vehicle through the air at high speeds then driving back from Baltimore. Matt and I had a great 8 miler on Sunday evening which was a great ending to the great weekend.

Congratulations Steph! You are an incredible woman and I feel so special to be your sister. Since you were very young, you dreamt of accomplishing this goal. Here's to you!
